Tinsel : The Girls Who Invented Christmas - Sibéal Pounder
Have you ever thought about how the entire world has come to believe that Santa Claus is an 80-year-old man?
It follows Blanche Claus and her big dream of what she wants Christmas to be as well as her searching for 'her people' and where she belongs. Along the way, she makes some great friends, has a lot of mince pie picnics - and one epic adventure.
"Tinsel", a story full of friendship, feminism, mince pies, elves, magic, and holiday spirit, is the true story of Santa and the mistake that someone made to make the world believe otherwise.

I really liked this book! It is definitely one of the best Christmassy books I have read, and there was a lot I liked about it.
I loved all of the characters (and especially all the elves) and especially the relationships/friendships that were formed throughout it. All of them felt so real and were so heartwarming.
And I love mince pies, so I appreciated all the mentions of it in the book (though it did make me hungry!).
Overall, this book was a really great spin on the original story of Santa Claus (and I personally prefer this one), and would totally recommend it.
