Invisible Emmie by Terri Libenson

Invisible Emmie is the story of two very different girls at the same middle school - shy, artistic and quiet Emmie and popular, athletic, outgoing Katie - and one particular event involving an embarrassing note and what happens when it falls into the wrong hands.

About the Author:

Terri Libenson is a New York Times bestselling children's book author and award-winning cartoonist of the syndicated daily comic strip, The Pajama Diaries. She is also an award-winning humorous card writer for American Greetings.

Terri graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and a minor in art history. She now lives with her husband and two daughters in Cleveland, Ohio.

What I thought of the book:

I really like this book! I have re-read it multiple times and I still really enjoy it. I really enjoy the art and the difference between Emmie and Katie's pages. It is also pretty relatable (sadly ðŸ˜…) for me as a middle-schooler but it's still fun to escape into, as you're rooting for the characters the whole time (instead of being annoyed at them - which I usually am in books!). It is also an incredibly quick and fast-paced read which is very easy to get through.
Overall, a humorous, relatable, and quick graphic novel - would highly recommend it!
